How long does a session go for?
Individual sessions approximately go for 50 minutes. If you are attending your initial session, it is important that you arrive 10 minutes early so that you have time to read and complete the Psychological Service Agreement form.
How do I book an appointment?

Can anyone receive this service?
Yes, One of the goals of this service is to provide you with skills to help you function to the best of your abilities in whatever you are pursuing.
Medicare
Before your first appointment, you may like to see your GP to assess if you are eligible for a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). This entitles you to a rebate of $96.65 per session or for walking sessions $121.35 for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
To process your rebate, a copy of your referral letter and MHCP from your GP is required. You can request that your GP send this directly, you can email it, or you are welcome to bring it with you on the day of your first appointment.
What are the fees and how do I pay for this service?
Individual sessions (50 minutes) are $220.00 each.
Bulk Billing can apply in certain circumstances.
Teams, / workshops and presentations are quoted depending on what is required.
Assessments are quoted, depending on what is required.
Payment is made on the day of your appointment and can be paid using cash, EFTPOS, VISA or Mastercard.
Is there a cancellation fee?
To avoid a cancellation fee please give at least 24 hours’ notice. If the notice given is less than 24 hours’ and Tamara cannot find a client to fill your appointment time, then you will be charged the full fee for the session.
Does my private health care cover these sessions?
Depending on your Private Health Insurance, you may be able to claim the psychological service. All Private Health Insurance are different; Please check with your fund provider.
Is there Telehealth / Video call options?
Appointments can take place online via video consultation. Medicare and private health funds have committed to funding online therapy services.
If you would prefer your appointment to be conducted via telehealth, please advise of this when making an appointment and a link will be sent in your appointment reminder that will allow you to access the appointment online using a computer, iPad or phone. Appointments comply with privacy laws and will not be recorded. Coviu is the platform that is used for telehealth consultations due to its high level of security and stability.
